SUMMARY:Marine Identity: Atlantic horizons
DESCRIPTION:How does life on the Atlantic edge shape us?  \nStrandhill’s coastline is deeply shaped by the Atlantic — through surf culture\, mythology\, coastal heritage\, wellness\, and evolving ocean economies. This landscape has long connected community identity with the sea\, from local folklore and maritime memory to contemporary surf culture\, ocean therapy\, biodiversity\, and sustainable development. \nAs part of the Shared Island & Ocean\, IOLN’s all-island initiative\, this Strandhill event will create a vibrant community dialogue that explores both the historical roots and future possibilities of this unique coastal region. \nThe morning session will focus on Strandhill’s cultural\, historical\, and marine identity — drawing on storytelling\, lived experience\, surfing heritage\, and coastal knowledge. \nThe afternoon session will examine the future of ocean stewardship through blue health\, community well-being\, inclusion\, biodiversity\, and sustainable regeneration. \nThrough keynote contributors\, panel discussions\, local voices\, and practitioners\, the event will position Strandhill as a model for connecting marine identity with future-focused coastal resilience. \n  \nAgenda \n09:30 – 10:00am: Registration and coffee\n 10:00 – 10:15am: Welcome and Introduction (IOLN)\n 10:15 – 10:45am: Keynote Speaker (Easkey Britton)\n 10:45 – 12:00pm: Panel 1: Currents of the Past\, Voyages of the Future\n 12:00 – 1:15pm: Lunch\, networking\, and exhibitions\n 1:15 – 2:30pm: Panel 2: Waves of Well-being\n 2:30 – 3:30pm: Closing plenary and wrap-up discussion – key takeaways for Strandhill’s ocean future.      \n  \n  \nRegister here. \n  \nExplore the event programme and speaker bios
