Film Screening: Who Needs Anemones? | IOLN x Dive Ireland

The Irish Ocean Literacy Network (IOLN) is delighted to join forces with Dive Ireland to facilitate the nationwide screening tour of ‘Who Needs Anemones? – Divers For Life In Carlingford Lough.’

Directed by Lia Philcox and supported by The Shifting Tides Project and the Creative Ireland Climate Action Fund, this documentary follows scuba divers from both sides of the border as they transition into dedicated citizen scientists.

By collecting vital biodiversity data through SeaSearch Observer training, these divers are proving that passion for the ocean can lead to tangible conservation results.

The film will be aired on Sunday, 22 March at Diving Ireland Expo 2026, taking place in the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh, Co Tipperary. For more information, please see the event schedule.
